Activities
STEAM
All students (Kinder - 6th) have the privilege of attending STEAM every week on Monday and Tuesday. The desire is to challenge students' creativity while having fun. Some activities include Lego building challenges, programing robots, creating marble mazes, and art. We also use materials to invent bridges, cars, houses, stands, cup towers and much more.
Below are supplies used on a regular basis, if you would like to make a donation please send the donation with your student. If you have questions please feel free to contact Carolyn Portillo at cportillo@dsdmail.net.

Choir
Calling all Crestview OWLS if you love to sing and learn new music, come, and join the CRESTVIEW CHOIR! It will be a great privilege to be in our school choir! Students will always be required to follow all school rules and procedures. Anyone not meeting these expectations, will not be allowed to perform and could be excused completely from the choir.
Every choir member is expected to attend every rehearsal. We need a commitment from each child to be there so that we can learn the songs quickly and well. If there are any conflicts, just let us know. We will work with you and your student, but please know that attendance is very important. Your child needs to show up for choir practice on time. Practice will be every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 in the multipurpose room. Your child will be allowed two absences before they will be dismissed from choir the remainder of the year.
Students participating in the choir must be picked up at 4:30p.m.. No student will be permitted to walk home, without an adult or high school sibling. It will be required for you to pick up your child or to pre-arrange a carpool with your neighbors.
We will have a choir shirt and the cost will be around $10.00. We want our choir members to stand out and have something to wear when we perform. We wear them every Wednesday, also.
Students must have a signed permission slip with them on Wednesday in order to participate in the choir.
